Description

Don't know what to do with those artist-made pendants that you bought but
have never used in a necklace? Knotting provides a great way to feature them
in an interesting way. The knotting incorporates a variety of sizes and
shapes of other beads as the framing for the central pendant.

 

Supplies

  • Scissors
  • Art-glass or other pendant with a horizontally drilled hole for the centerpiece
  • A variety of small, medium, and large beads, from 8o seed
    beads to 12mm beads (225 beads in total -approximately eight
    to twelve 10mm or 12mm beads; approximately twenty to thirty
    6mm to 8mm beads; remaining beads are smaller beads such as 8o seed beads)
  • Fine thread (cord) that coordinates with your beads and that will go
    through them-Size E, F, or FF Nymo; Size 69 Conso; or other thread of
    similar weight (you use 10 to 20 strands, depending on the thread's weight)
  • Tapestry needle that will go through the decorative knotting
    (Size 22 to 28 depending on the thread's weight)
  • Bead or button with a shank for the closure

    helpful for pulling the thread through beads)
