Flores is based on a necklace I bought in Saraguro, Ecuador. Saragurans use a type of netting not often used in the United States in which beads are connected by looping around threads before going through beads. The result is a flat lacy collar in 14 colors. Before people get close enough to see the seed beads, many assume my dress or tee shirt is embroidered. Instructions for a beaded bead and loop closure will be included. (A portion of my profits is returned to the Saraguro community.)
